Our Technical Director, Declan Egan has experience in conducting pre-acquisition environmental audits for the food, hazardous waste, electronic and packaging industries in Ireland, the UK and Europe. He has project managed both Phase 1 and Phase 2 assessments.

The Phase 1 assessment is a systematic assessment of potential sources of environmental liability associated with a property and to identify recognised environmental conditions in connection with a property. A Phase 2 assessment conducted by us involves more detailed investigations such as the installation of boreholes, groundwater surveys, air monitorings, contaminated land assessment.

Services JBA Consulting Provides

JBA Consulting offers the following services:

• Historical planning search on the property/land
• Determination of the planning status of the property/land
• Phase 1 desktop assessment including a review of the site wide environmental monitoring data, and non-compliance with a licence/permit/planning condition
• On site assessment to identify recognisable environmental conditions
• Preparation of a Phase 1 report and recommendations for further investigations
• Full supervision of a Phase 2 site investigation, with soil and water sampling
• Reporting on the findings of the Phase 2 investigation and estimation of cost and extent of clean-up costs if necessary.
