World Fish Migration Day

Saturday the 21st of April is World Fish Migration Day and in an effort to create awareness of the importance of open rivers like the River Shannon, and migratory fish including Salmon and Eel, JBAs team of fish passage designers will be publishing blogs every day this week on the work that we've been doing over the last 18 months to deliver fish passage improvements for our clients.

JBAs team of ecologists, geomorphologists and hydromorphologists and engineers have worked on a number of fishpass and fish passage projects in Ireland and across the UK.  JBAs contribution to the celebration is planned to culminate on Friday with the formal opening of the JBA-designed and construction-managed fish pass at Langsett for Yorkshire Water in the UK. Dave Mould will be representing JBA at this event.
