Landscape Architect

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Landscape Architect (with 2-3 years’ experience) to join our growing environmental management team located in south-west Dublin. The post holder will support the expansion of our landscape and environmental services across Ireland, supporting projects across a wide range of sectors. 

We have an expanding portfolio of includes greenways, linear infrastructure, flood alleviation and SuDS/attenuation schemes, park design, industrial and residential developments, and environmental assessment.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will, amongst other things, be responsible for:

  • providing landscape design input into a range of projects;
  • assisting with/learning to prepare Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs);
  • organising, planning and undertaking site surveys and other fieldwork, and on occassion assisting other disciplines such as ecology with basic site survey work;
  • assisting with site inspections on our range of projects under construction;
  • writing technical reports and other outputs; and
  • collaborating with other disciplines throughout JBA, and liaising with clients, regulators and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates will need to demonstrate:

  • a recognised/accredited degree in landscape architecture;
  • experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the objectives of large and complex commissions;
  • a confident ability to hand draw and familiarity with engineering and illustrative drawing packages including AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and willingness to learn QGIS;
  • a student membership of Irish Landscape Institute or UK Landscape Institute and be working towards taking professional practice examinations; and
  • a full Irish, EU or UK driving licence.
