Launch of The State of Ireland 2018 - A Review of Infrastructure in Ireland

The State of Ireland 2018 report was launched today by Minister Heather Humpreys T.D..  It an independent assessment of Ireland’s infrastructure and we are pround that Jonathan Cooper sat on the expert panel on flooding.

Now in its eighth year, the report is an insight-led, action-orientated analysis based on a series of panel discussions nationally with key engineering decision-makers across the private and public sectors. The report summarises the expertise of the engineering community and seeks to inform decision making on the planning, design and delivery of infrastructure to ensure the prosperity of Irish society.

This year, the report focuses on water, wastewater and flooding infrastructure. The report details two- and five-year priority actions necessary to improve the performance of our infrastructure networks, focusing on actions to improve and protect public health, the natural environment and support future development. The report also makes recommendations in other infrastructure sectors critical to Project Ireland 2040, including energy, transport, communications and waste.
