JBA have been appointed to provide a Hydrology, Hydraulics, Coastal Processes and Flood Risk Management Training Programme to the OPW.  

Building on the success of a previously delivered suite of training, this series will be highly interactive.  Worked case studies will be followed over the course of a day or several days, providing delegates with the opportunity to understand and apply theoretical skills to the local and national context.  Hydraulic theory will also be demonstrated through the use of the flume and wave tank, and using on-line resources.

The course will be developed and led by JBA’s highly experienced team of engineers and analysts, all of whom have a wealth of experience working on a wide range of small and large scale flood management projects across the county.

The training course will be delivered over 6 days, divided into a number of modules, and will see over 60 members of OPW staff trained across three locations.
