River Bride Invasive Species Survey

Work currently being undertaken by JBA's Ecology team has been highlighted in a local newspaper, the Avondhu. The Bride Valley Invasive Non-native Species Project involves the survey and mapping of invasive plant species along the River Bride in Co Cork. The project is being carried out on behalf of Cork County Council in partnership with the BRIDE Project (Biodiversity Regeneration in a Dairying Environment) and is part funded under Ireland's National Biodiversity Action Plan. It is hoped that the mapping exercise will lead to the development of a catchment-based eradication programme for invasive species in the Bride catchment.
