JBA Consulting Ireland appoints two new directors
We are delighted to confirm the appointment of two new directors to support the continued growth of JBA Consulting Ireland. Working alongside Managing Director, Bernadette O'Connell, Ross Bryant and Michael O'Donoghue will play an active role in shaping our future, whilst ensuring we continue to support our clients to adapt and build resilience to climate change.
At JBA our directors are not only responsible for setting our longer-term vision and reviewing our progress, they are also actively engaged in project work. This allows us to consistently deliver exceptional client service, whilst helping improve the environment, business and infrastructure for the benefit of all.
Ross Bryant
Having spent 23 years with JBA, Ross brings a wealth of knowledge and know-how to the role of director.
Following seven years with JBA in the UK focussing on river scour, modelling and asset management, Ross made the move to JBA Consulting Ireland in 2008. Since moving to Ireland he has played a key role in integrating the 2009 Planning System and Flood Risk Management Guidelines and remains at the forefront of their application.
His role has also seen him develop and lead Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), producing large-scale flood datasets and a risk-based approach to managing land use, zoning and flooding. Ross also manages Site Specific FRAs for private development and has been integral to our growth and the expansion of services we offer.
Michael O'Donoghue
Michael's civil and environmental engineering expertise has seen him excel in the contracting and consulting sectors, both in Ireland and in the UK, making him an excellent addition to our board of directors.
His early career was spent working on numerous large-scale infrastructure projects in the UK. However, in 2015 Michael returned to Ireland in an engineering consultancy role. This saw him working on the delivery of renewable energy projects across the country and, as an acting conservation engineer, he oversaw the restoration of some of Ireland's most historic monuments.
Since joining JBA in 2021, Michael has led and continues to lead some of the country's most complex flood relief schemes. He also leads our delivery of rainwater management plans and catchment-wide SuDS strategies. Having already made a significant contribution to our civil engineering services and expertise, Michael will be key to our continued growth.
Whether you're an existing or prospective client, our new directors are ready to discuss how we can support your next project. Contact Ross Bryant or Michael O'Donoghue for more information.
