Landscape expertise to support the new large scale Residential Developments planning process

With the proposed Brownsbarn development covering approximately 7 hectares and consisting of 384 residential units, public facilities and open spaces, the planning application had to follow a new process for Large-scale Residential Developments (LRDs). This fast-track process meant negotiating tight time schedules to complete reports. By calling upon expertise from across our landscape team, we were able to submit the necessary reports efficiently to support the application. Despite uncertainty around the outcome of the new LRD process, we were able to contribute to the successful attainment of planning permission.

Efficient collaboration to support a successful application

Through close collaboration with our client's planners, as well as the architectural design and visualisation teams, we were able to ensure the optimal adaptation of the proposals to the landscape and visual requirements of the South Dublin County Council’s Development Plan. This allowed for open communication across the project partners and helped to facilitate the timely submission and successful outcome of the application.
