Biodiversity Week 2018
This week is Biodiversity Week 2018 and there are events happening across the country celebrating and sharing Biodiversity. There are a huge amount of walks and talks on, from Shellfish Identification, to Bats, butterflies, whale watching and a really good one on the 25th of May on Protected Areas: A Presentation on the Strategies and Rationale for Conserving Habitats and Species.

Events in Limerick include bat walks in Lough Gur and Westfield Wetlands in Limerick City, organised by the Limerick Bat Group which is led by JBA's Ecologist, Tanya Slattery.
